The short version

What we access

SmritiForge is a browser extension that injects a save button on leetcode.com and neetcode.io problem pages. When you choose to save a problem, the extension reads the following information directly from the page:

• Problem title, difficulty, and tags
• Problem URL and platform identifier
• Any notes, key insights, or complexity ratings you manually enter

Where your data lives

All data — problems, review history, settings, and session logs — is stored exclusively in chrome.storage.local on your own device. This storage is private to your browser profile and is never transmitted anywhere.

No external database. No cloud sync. No analytics. No crash reporting.

What we do not do

• We do not collect personal information of any kind
• We do not transmit data to any external server or third party
• We do not use cookies, trackers, or fingerprinting
• We do not read any page content outside of LeetCode and NeetCode problem pages
• We do not access your LeetCode or NeetCode account credentials

Permissions explained

SmritiForge requests the following browser permissions:

• storage — to save your problems and review data locally
• alarms — to schedule spaced repetition review reminders
• scripting — to inject the save button on problem pages
• leetcode.com, neetcode.io — host permissions limited to these two sites only

Data export & deletion

You have full control over your data at all times. From the Settings page within the extension you can export a complete JSON backup of all your data, or permanently delete everything with a single action.

Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data from your device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
